I'm not really one for massive self promotion but a couple of (exciting) things have happened to me this week.

- Exhibition: June 2010 of new paintings and old drawings at Broomhill Art Hotel, Nr. Barnstaple, North Devon.
I have rediscovered some drawings I did in January 1978 and I have decided to revisit these compositional ideas. Have my skills 'matured'? Will I manage to recapture the youthful energy or will I run out of steam? This could be an interesting exercise or a total failure for me as an artist now.
Creating images is balancing on the knife edge that teeters between success and failure. A brushstroke out of place is like cutting the beak off a privet peacock, it takes time for it to grow back and reshape.
