The Eden House - "Through The Looking Glass" UK Tour 2010

The Eden House is a collaborative project which is based around Stephen Carey, formerly of Ireland’s 'This Burning Effigy' and Tony Pettitt, formerly of 'Fields of The Nephilim'. Their album 'Smoke and Mirrors' has some of the best musicians and vocalists around on it and includes Julianne Regan who for me is one of the finest singers and song writers ever. The other vocalists who are the main contributors to The Eden House project are Evi Vine, Amandine Ferrari and Monica Richards (Faith & The Muse).

Their music can only be described as luscious and darkly rich - like eating chocolate mousse. Without a doubt 'Smoke and Mirrors' is my favourite album of 2009 it ticks all the boxes for me and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Random Perception - Review

Random Perception are from Pembrokeshire which is in Wales. The Welsh coastline is visible half a mile away up the North Devon coast from where I am sitting; across the Bristol Channel - Pembrokeshire is miles away on the other side and the last time I was there it was a 'dry county', which meant you couldn't get a beer anywhere on a Sunday - I didn't stay there long!

There is not a great deal of info. on this band but... I love the track 'Try Don't Lie' I should imagine this sounds pretty good live, a guitar trash that would get most people throwing themselves around. You could argue that Random Perception are an indie guitar band but there are hints of Post Punk (they describe their music as 'alt. rock electronic type stuff') which makes the whole thing... listen to the chunky riff in 'InVitro' and you will hear what I mean.

They have a beloved van that gets them to gigs and gig extensively in their local area. The furthest they have ventured is  Staffordshire - head for London go seek fame and fortune.

2009 an 'interesting'  year - This Window had ‘Where Is My Jesus’ on the German compilation  Net.Ware Stimulation, Elektronik Compilation which was released late December 2008.  'Cassette Culture 1989 - 2009' was released in February 2009 an 'Again..'  this month. We have had several retrospective reviews and been mentioned in books written on 'Underground Music'..... but the best bit has been reviewing you chaps!

2010 will see a massive interview in Grave Jibes Fanzine which will reveal our darkest Cert X secrets. This will be available to download for free in English and Russian early in the new year. This will also contain some previously unpublished photos.
